About This Item
Urbana IL: State of Illinois Geological Survey. Very Good with No dust jacket as issued. 1920. First Edition. Hardcover. This wonderful book, which was the annual yearbook of the geological survey department for 1916 (although published four years later) contains a survey of mineral resources for the state, by N. O. Barrett. It also contains two monographs: Clay Depositis Near Mountain Glen, Union County, Illinois, by Stuart St. Clair; and Structure of the La Salle Anticline, by Gilbert H. Cady. What really makes this book terrific are the nine pull-out maps and charts that accompany the second monograph, all in superb condition. The book was previously held in a cement company library, but there are only a few stampings. There is a small ding to the spine, but the binding is sound. Fast shipping, with tracking number provided. .
