My listing includes PHOTO OF ACTUAL BOOK for sale. Book Interior NEAR FINE/ Covers Good to Very Good. Coated stock. Side stapled. Covers and spine are flat, bright, two small tears at the spine but the spine is worn to the point that it is torn almost all the way up, holding together at the top several inches. Both covers are entirely there however and are in pretty good shape, there are some large chips, and a section of front corner missing, some ink writing on the front cover, some light mild staining some almost invisible, the very tip of the front upper corner is missing but the date is clearly there, the back cover is a bit shelf soiled and age darkened but the photo is clear and the text can be read clearly. Inside of book is tight, clean, clear, bright, flat, some slight bending of upper right corners due to an old bend in the covers in this area which transferred itself lightly to the inside of the book. Except for the cover spine unfortunately giving up the fight to stay whole for 3/4 of its height, this book is very gently read, especially for its age. No. 3993, Vol. CXLVII. Near the back is a brown and white photogravure “Dead On The Field of Honour: Officers Killed In Action”.
