This work was a major example of heliotype printing and the first of what was intended to be a series, but it seems to have been the only publication to make it to press. Clean brown pebble cloth with gilt titles on spine & front cover. Top edge gilt. Interior of text Is tight, clean & intact. Chapter head decorations. Geology, Glaciers, Science; Heliotype Plates; Folio 13" - 23" tall; 196 pages .
