The evolution of imagery throughout the novels of each author is also studied; in the special case of Proust only one novel has been treated. The author shows that such a study can take the reader to the heart of a great writer's intentions, and thrown light on this special gifts of mind and language, his attitude and his techniques as a novelist. – Paraphrasing the jacket blurb Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. VIII, 316 pages includes references (bibliography), & index. Spotting of the top and frontages of the textblock, the dust jacket while complete, does have some short tears at the head and tail of the spine, and on the front fold over crease. Dust jacket has been price clipped twice. Previous owner's details on the 1st page. Internally, bright, and apart from some underlining in ink and also pencil within the chapter on the 2 styles of Camus, the book is clean.. Please refer to accompanying picture (s).
