Inscribed by the author to the previous owner on the purple front free endpaper in silver ink. The spine is still stiff despite large size. General rubbing, wear and some stray marks to covers and some tanning starting to come in from the edges of text block into the book. The boards rigid and tips pointed. No marks inside. The jacket is not price clipped but has some slight tanning around the edges. Looks intriguing in a shiny new plastic cover. Shipping box is suitable for wrapping. .

Synopsis

Imajica is a fantasy novel by British author Clive Barker. Barker names it as his favorite of all his writings. The work, 825 pages at its first printing in 1991, chronicles the events surrounding the reconciliation of Earth, called the Fifth Dominion, with the other four Dominions, parallel worlds unknown to all but a select few of Earth's inhabitants. Wide in scope, elaborate in its imagery, and meticulous in its detail, the novel covers themes such as God, sex, love, gender and death.

Deep layers of lush description, cruel, beautiful and terrifying in it's scope with a potential for a great film in today's CG technology.
