London: The Folio Society, 1998. 1st Edition 3rd Printing. Hardcover. Fine/Near Fine. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. Will Spring, Modigliani. First Folio Society edition third printing 2012 . Hardback book is tight clean and square. Boards sharp and clean. Illustrative title gilt to boards and spine perfect. Text block clean and sharp. Feels unread. Fine condition. Slipcase near fine with some very light handling marks to the panels. For grading accuracy books are photographed without a protective book cover. Note we do not use stock images, the book pictured is the book described. A great copy of this Folio Society edition containing 26 black & white illustrations. Quarter-bound in black cloth with paper sides wrap around printed with a full colour illustration by Neil Gower. Gilt spine title. Black slipcase. Blue endpapers, produced to the usual Folio standards. The author tells tales of journeys that are impossible, the destination maybe a fable, or no longer exists or were incomplete through poor planning.
