VG-; dark blue pebbled boards with gilt lettering & gilt snowshoe on front cover, spine sunfaded, back cover somewhat bubbled. No DJ. Interior clean and unmarked. Has sticker on ffep stating "The Incompleat Canadian presented with the compliments of the T. Eaton Co., Public Relations Office, Winnipeg, Manitoba". A social history of Canada, from an introductory essay on Indian customs through early European exploration and settlement to Confederation and early 20th century (closing just before WWI). Many illustrations in sepia. Extensive use was made of both public and company archives for illustrations. The authors particularly acknowledge the assistance of the T. Eaton Company Public Relations and Archives. Specially commissioned by Eatons. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
