Oxford: For the Bibliographical Society at the Oxford University Press, 1923. FIRST EDITION IN BOOK FORM. Title in red and black, frontispiece portrait and 16 plates. Original cloth-backed boards; covers very lightly soiled, still an excellent copy. First edition in book form, originally issued as an address read before the Bibliographical Society in 1914 and printed two years later in the Transactions of the Bibliographical Society. It is here first edited with a preface by A.W. Pollard, and with bibliographical descriptions by V. Scholderer. The work describes 214 of the earliest printed medical books.
