New York City: FARRAR, STRAUS and COMPANY, 1949 Book. Fair (+). Hardcover. First Edition. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Blue cover with a white spine title. Early edition (originally first published in 1947). General mild speckling to the cover, with a few tears at the spine edge, Sunning at the spine, and a large mild fox mark at the top outer fore page edge (light scattered foxing otherwise). Front inside gutter cracked at the title page, and rear last page; otherwise, a secure text block with brown, age-toned pages. Hardcover book with 928 pages. Fair plus condition..

All orders are packaged with extra care, generally in a new book box with protective plastic & bubble wrap, and Media Mail is the normal shipping service.
