Glasgow: John Wylie & Co, 1820. Hardcover. Very Good. 17.5cm by 10cm. A very good copy in a modern light grey paper-covered binding with paper title-piece on spine. Marbled edges. Trace of a small stamp, partially removed, on the title page and on the first page of the Preface. Pp.xv,310. Pages 1-134 contain an account of a number of Scottish families together with genealogies of the chief clans of the Isles. Pages 135-310 contain an account of the family of Buchanan and have a separate title as follows: "A Historical and Genealogical Essay Upon the Family and Surname of Buchanan.
