With errata in volume Volume 1 in original white cloth-backed green boards printed in gilt; volume 2 in contemporary plain untitled wraps, volume 3 original original wrappers printed in black.

FIRST EDITION OF THIS CELEBRATED AUTOBIOGRAPHY, VOLUME TWO INSCRIBED BY HARRIS to his friend Francis E. Collin "'from his friend, Frank Harris, 1976" and quoting a line from Tennyson's Ulysses: 'Death closes all; yet something 'ere the end, Some work of noble note may yet be done'. The book, which was published in 4 volumes (these are the first 3) gives a graphic account of Harris's sexual adventures and was banned in the US and Britain for 40 years.
