First Edition warmly inscribed by southern Oregon writer Reg Butler to another southern Oregon writer Dean Ing, author in blue ink on first free page "For Dan Ing, Samuel Bultler said "The truth test of literary ability is not the ability to write an inscription, but the ability to name a kitten," Whoever named a kitten Kurion? So much for inscriptions! All Best, Reg Bretnor" Medford 8/4/78" drawing of a cat underneath. The book is Fine, ultra clean tan cloth with dark brown titles to front board and spine, tight and square with sharp points, 422 pages including index, very detailed and comprehensive study of the ancient city of Kourion on the island of Cyprus. A full bibliography, concordance of the inscriptions and plans of the archaeological sites, many black and white photographs in the text. Jacket is a few minor small stains on rear panel, $20.00 original price intact. An interesting inscribed book in excellent condition.
