Pp. xxvi+550(last colophon), 8 plates (the frontispiece and portrait with tissue guards), text illustrations, list of London Gunmakers, Game Laws; nineteenth century mottled calf boards with double gilt rule border and gilt edges, neatly rebacked, with the gilt lettered and decorated spine and gilt lettered red morocco title label laid on, edges of boards lightly rubbed, fore-corners worn, several small surface grazes to spine, the upper board slightly damp stained; t.e.g., others uncut; marbled endpapers; the upper hinge starting, a couple of tiny edge chips, a few leaves slightly creased, scattered (mainly light) foxing, browning and soiling; Longman, Orme, Brown, Green, and Longmans, London, 1838.
