Inscribed by editor on half title page verso. Reading copy only. Book toned and heavily soiled. Boards warped. Spine tips and corners rubbed and frayed. Page edges toned. Dampstaining and soiling across top-edge along spine. Dampstaining and soiling along gutters inside, increasing in scope towards back of book. Spine cracked. Moderate adhesion. Pencil checks and marks throughout. Page 245/246 patched with new top corner containging picture of Harold P. Muller, background sloppily painted gray. Patch supported by paper tape.
