About This Item

London: Raven Books / Macdonald and Jane's Publishers Ltd., 1976. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. First UK edition first printing 1976. Hardback book is tight clean and square. Boards sharp and clean. Lightly bumped spine ends, title gilt perfect. Text block clean, with light toning and feint spotting to edges, more pronounced to the top edge. The pages are crisp and unblemished. Feels lightly read and tight. Grades very good. Jacket is in nice, retraining good levels of gloss. There is minor crimping to the edges, and a 2mm closed tear to the head of the front joint. The rear joint has a 7mm tear with a touch of rubbing to the head. Overall grades very good. For grading accuracy books are photographed without a protective book cover. This book is fitted with a non adhesive archival quality book protector to make a worthy addition to your collection. Note we do not use stock images, the book pictured is the book described. A very solid copy of this sought after title, in the UK first edition, we have graded it very good, but in the hand is near fine. Scarce edition and looks super on the shelf in the fitted archival cover.

Synopsis

Interview with the Vampire is a vampire novel by Anne Rice written in 1973 and published in 1976. The novel, the first to feature the enigmatic vampire Lestat, was followed by several sequels, collectively known as The Vampire Chronicles. A film version, Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles, was released in 1994 starring Brad Pitt, Kirsten Dunst, Antonio Banderas, Christian Slater, and Tom Cruise.  In 2022, an AMC+ series retelling the tale rekindled the popularity of the book series. To date, the novel has sold some 8 million copies worldwide.
