About This Item
The Vampire Chronicles first UK editions of the first three titles: "Interview with the Vampire", "The Vampire Lestat", and "Queen of the Damned" published by Macdonald/Raven. "The Vampire Lestat" is signed!
Interview with the Vampire the First Vampire Chronicles Volume, and the first novel by Anne Rice Hardcover First UK Edition - First Printing London: Macdonald Raven UK 1976 £3.95 (published in the US by Knopf in the same year) Features wonderfully spooky dust jacket artwork with Lestat holding a candelabra, still the best jacket artwork of any edition in my opinion, probably the best jacket artwork of the entire series!
Nearly Fine in Fine Dust Jacket, a beautiful near-perfect copy save some foxing to the top edge of the text-block and typical toning. Boards are very clean and sharp, corners straight. The jacket is near-perfect save a hint of a crinkle to the upper left-hand corner of the back. If you can forgive the foxing, it's still a wonderful copy.
The Vampire Lestat (the Second Vampire Chronicles Volume) by Anne Rice Hardcover First UK Edition - First Printing London: Macdonald UK 1987 £10.95 (published in the US by Knopf in 1985) Features wonderfully spooky dust jacket artwork with the Lestat holding a glass of blood or wine, the best jacket artwork of any edition in my opinion. The rarest hardcover edition in English of any of the three books in trade editions. SIGNED without inscription by Rice on the title page. Fine in Fine Dust Jacket. A near-flawless perfect copy.
The Queen of the Damned (the Third Vampire Chronicles Volume) by Anne Rice Hardcover First UK Edition - First Printing London: Macdonald UK 1989 £11.95 (published in the US by Knopf the same year) Features wonderful dust jacket artwork of an ancient Egyptian Queen far superior to the US edition which just has a photo of a Christian statue. Fine in Fine Dust Jacket. A near-flawless perfect copy save some age-toning to the text-block but minimal.
Some sellers are asking $1000 for a first US edition of Interview Vampire alone. Here you get the trilogy with far better dust jacket artwork than the US editions! Some sellers are also asking for $500 for a signed copy of The Vampire Lestat alone.
NOTE: All modern books with dust jackets come with dust jacket covers.
