Includes Valuations of Rank One; Complete Fields and the Field of p-adic Numbers; Valuation Rings, Places and Valuations; Normed Linear Spaces and Extensions of Valuations, plus the appendix. Buff paper covers with black cloth tape spine. Covers are chipped at bottom front corner, sticker scar to front cover obscuring the word "theory", back cover sunned at edges and chipped at for-edge. Interior paper bit aged and some marks to the title page, otherwise clean and unmarked. Very scarce 1st edition of this respected mathematician's early work.; 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall; 129 pages .
