London: Williams and Norgate, 1924. 1st Edition . Half-Leather. Fair. 16mo - over 5¾ - 6¾" tall. Red leather spine with red cloth covers. Ex library, with Belfast Library in neat gilt at the base of the spine and number etched out at the top of the spine, smart looking early 20th century pictorial bookplate on the endpaper and very faint blindstamp (without ink) at the top corner of the title (no other markings). The hinges are good, the pages are browned, marking to the endpapers. A good reading copy. 256 pages, woodcut illustrations in the text. Includes; nucleus as the bearer of hereditary qualities, development of the germ into adult, inheritance of habits, inheritance of fluctuating variations, inheritance of mutations, inheritance of sex, causes of mutations.
