75 modest-sized (8.5 x 5.5cm.) photos, two to four to a page in corner mounts on one side of the album leaves. 8 larger (18 x 11cm.) photos have "Photo Gulbenk av. des francais" in lower corner. One much larger photo dated June 1943 in Syria is of 18 British soldiers who are identified individually on back by name and called the "740 Artizan Works Coy.".Homemade-looking, oblong ringbound album in green cloth. Approximately 32 x 17cm. The 8 larger photos have some individual captions and are identified generally as "Chekka By Pass Road Syria Built July-Oct. in 100 Days 1943." Some subjects covered by the mostly captioned smaller photos which are rather varied as to subject matter: 4 or more are of Rutbah area in Iraq; a few photos identified as Haditha, Iraq; 4 photos identified as Saloub Bedouins; 3 photos captioned "One of the sons of the Sheikh of the Anizza Tribe, Including Bodyguard"; 4 photos identified as "Some Bedouin Arabs taken near Wadi Hauran in Flood. Hi. 1933"; and two photos of a plane wreck are captioned: "Smashed K.L.M. Plane near Rutbah Xmas 1934."
