San Francisco: City Lights, 1974. 52pp. Stiff Color pictorial wraps. slight wear to the corners.otherwise fine. Author's signature and date, "Allen Ginsberg, Glassboro 1976 May 4", on the half-title page. Pink-tinted pages throughout with speeding frain background. Poetry by the author that was part of The Fall of America sequence. Some of the topics Ginsberg touches upon in the poem include: a group of soldiers riding the train some of them probably on their way to Vietnam and their mentality; a nostalgic feeling for his past and youth, ruminations on his own public persona, entertaining the thought of retiring to some solitary life; current events, headlines, conversations (overheard or imaginary) taking place on the train, and sights; both on and off the train. . Signed by Allen Ginsberg. First Edition. Oblong Softcover. Very Good+. 7 3/4" x 5 1/2".

The store contains over 10,000 books in over 80 different subjects, and favors good used books and good literature (both hardcover and paperback) over popular books and bestsellers. Our Internet business began in 2001. Upon visiting the store, we can show and sell individual online titles upon request. Store hours are 10:00-5:30 (Tues.-Sat.) and 11:00-4:00 (Sun.). The business is run by Richard Chalfin.
