Dark blue cloth boards with silver lettering and small lighthouse decoration on spine. No fading or fraying. Binding is tight and square, hinges are sound. Clean map-illustrated endpapers. Small previous owner name neatly penned at top edge of half-title page; no other writing or marks. Illustrated with nice woodcuts by F. Wenderoth Saunders. 214 pages. Illustrated jacket is clean, has light edge wear and a few short closed edge tears; price clipped at upper corner of front inside flap; enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover. Wonderful history and lore of the New England islands from Eastport to Block Island, from rum and Indians to granite and whale oil and pirates..
