Cloth backed black pebble paper covered boards, printed paper label. 16mo (17cm). pp. 342, [2] Ads. Very Good/Ex-Lib. Paper spine label, rear pocket with slip (never lent) and repaired joint tear; internally near fine with trace overall page toning, no marking. Bookplates of Paul Johannes Tillich (1886-1965) over Harvard Divinity School (with a typed discard note). Tillich was appointed to Harvard Divinity (1955-62), and, as one of the "University Five", publishing Dynamics of Faith and Volume Two of Systematic Theology in 1957 while there. Schlatter was a Swiss born Evangelical Theologian and Professor in N.T. systematics at a trio of German universities (Berlin, Greifswald, Tubingen), and lecturer at the University of Berne at the time.
