About This Item

This is a copy of the second printing of Israfel: The Life & Times of Edgar Allen Poe. It was written by the American writer and educator Hervey Allen and first published in 1926.

At 750 pages, this is a thick heavy book with loads of illustrations and a thorough index.

Cream boards with a gold and black foil design on the cover and spine. A little of the gold has worn off.

There is minor soiling to the covers, which can easily be cleaned. The original owner wrote her name on the front endpaper.

Otherwise, the book is in perfect condition. Clean bright pages and tight binding.
