N. Y.: RCA Victor. Very Good/Good Original Box. 1958. 33 1/3 RPM LP VINYL RECORD. . This rare box set contains six vinyl LP records, in VG to VG++ condition, each with the iconic "shaded dog" RCA label, used for recordings of the highest sound quality. RCA Red Seal LM - 6801, monophonic, in new orthophonic high fidelity. Also includes a 16 page illustrated booklet, featuring commentaries on the music by Wands Landowska. Recorded in 1949 and 1950 in NY and Connecticut, and released by RCA as a complete set in 1958. The vinyl plays well and sounds great, VG condition meaning here is some light surface wear and/or minimal surface noise. The booklet is in nice condition, clean, with no marks or tears, The outer box is in only fair to good condition, as the edges have split along all sides, (as is common with this set, due to the weight of the records) but the box has been tape repaired along the edges and so still holds the records well. These now legendary recordings were done in 1949 at RCA studios in New York and in 1950 at the home of Wanda Landowska in Connecticut., and released by RCA as a complete set in 1958. J. S.
