n.p., 1916. First Edition. Print. Single sheet, 25.6 x 18.75 inches; plate size: 22.5 x 13 inches; image size: 20.6 x 11.5 inches. The etching is after a 1897 painting by Boldini (1842-1931), with his signature in the etching. Jacques Reich (1852-1923) was a Hungarian-born portrait etcher who came to the US in 1873. The image is of Whistler seated in an elegant chair in formal dress holding a monocle up to his eye as if to examine the viewer. First edition (first printing). Near fine copy. Slight surface wear.
