Large, thick, heavy book, black covers, very bright gilt lettering on spine, tiny dent at bottom front edge near tip, 512 pages plus brief biographical note, includes two glossy photo sections. DJ glossy gray background with photo of Robinson smiling on front and spine, praise on back from Joyce Carol Oates, Bill Bradley, Robert W. Creamers and others. DJ has very slight wear at top front tip, creases at bottom front tip, lighter at top front edge, tiny red spots on back in several places. Near Very Good DJ/Near Fine book.
Synopsis
Arnold Rampersad is Woodrow Wilson Professor of Literature at Princeton University, where he is a member of the Department of English and the Program in African-American Studies. His books include the two-volume Life of Langston Hughes and, with the late Arthur Ashe, Days of Grace: A Memoir . In 1991, he was appointed a MacArthur Foundation fellow. He lives with his family in Princeton, New Jersey. From the Hardcover edition.
