[James Bond] The complete pack, comprising a colour promotional poster for the book designed by Jan Pienkowski (52cm x 76cm), an 'Obituary of Commander James Bond' (35cm x 52cm), a cross-section and information regarding the Walther pistol [uncredited but attributed to Raymond Hawkey] on grey art paper (52cm x 39cm), James Bond's entry in Peerage [Burke's?] (27 x 20cm), a tri-folding four-panelled illustrated supplement entitled 'Bond Girl' (48cm x 26cm) on red card, plus a card copy of an original photo of Ian Fleming taken by Horst Tappe (25 x 28.5cm). Together six items contained within a large stiff card wallet, edged in vinyl, illustrated with designs by Raymond Hawkey in red, white and black (41 x 27cm). All six items in mint, unused condition, in fine folder (trivial wear to edges). Extremely scarce; whilst we have occasionally seen individual items offered, this is the first complete publicity pack we have encountered. It was acquired from the estate of a publishing executive who represented Jonathan Cape. For information, a similar Jonathan Cape advertising poster designed by Hawkey for Deighton's Funeral in Berlin (1965) is currently available elsewhere [by itself] priced at £1250.
