Foxing on page opposite frontispiece, which is a portrait of Longstreet. Sound binding and hinges. Clean, off-white pages. Cloth over boards is edge rubbed. DJ, in mylar, is chipped at top front, back, and spine, with edge wear. Spine of DJ is a bit faded. ; Biography of James Longstreet (1821-1904), principal subordinate to General Robert E. Lee, who called him his "Old War Horse." He served under Lee as a corps commander for most of the battles fought by the Army of Northern Virginia in the Eastern Theater, and briefly with Braxton Bragg in the Army of Tennessee in the Western Theater. Ex-Library; 9.5" tall; 399 pages.
