Bound in light brown cloth, with red leather backstrip, this dated 1831 hardcover First Edition is Good. 138pp with engraved frontis showing two young girls examing a large Spiders Web. With four Sections of "Conversations". Bookplate of Charlotte E. Thorp dated 1840, to fixed front endpaper and separate presentation inscription to Charlotte from her Aunt. Odd marks and foxing spots to several pages. Corners are bumped and worn. Leather spine chipped at top and rubbed at edges; title to spine in gilt reads"Jane Campbell" Front boards ahs small patch where paper has worn; (1cm x 1cm). Back board is slightly dirty. Binding is tight and sound, otherwise Good plus. . Good. Hardcover. First Edition. 1831.
