Tokyo, Japan: Geijutsu No Nihon-Sha. Near Fine. 1937. First Edition. Softcover. Clean tan softcover paper wraps, front cover paste down & ribbon string binding. Appears to be printed on rice paper. Beautifully constructed in two parts on double-leaf pages. Part 1-Pictures (pp1-21) : 18 colour plates by various artists tipped in. Part 2- Miscellanious Writings (pp 22-35) with 2 b/w plates tipped in. Published quarterly. The pupose of this publication was to introduce the world to modern Japanese art (of the 1930's era). Unfortunately, it began about the same time as the country was entering into WW II. Art ; Tipped in color plates; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 35 pages .
