The Folio Society, 2012. Hardcover. Paginated xv-xvii, 2-190 and 192-398. Each volume 13 by 16-1/4 inches. From a limited edition of 980 numbered copies; there were also 20 lettered copies hors commerce. 'First published by J. B. Millet Company, Boston, in 1897 - 8, in a range of editions. This Folio edition follows the text of the 10-volume de luxe edition' -- from the copyright page. With essays on Japanese art by Kakuzo Okakura, and a new essay for the Folio Society by David Perkins. Illustrated in color. Volume I in red cloth decorated in black, white and gold. Volume II in black cloth decorated in white, red and gold. All edges gilt. Both copies fine in fine, titled slipcases, with white scuffs to the slipcase of Volume II. A large, heavy set of books. Copy number 48.
