Tokyo, Japan: East=West at Toppan Press, 1949 A collection of 14 booklets housed in cloth covered boards. There are spots on the front of the cloth covers. There are stickers are on the far left cover.There are two spots on the middle section. All booklets are age-toned on the top edge. Widely scattered soil in the text.

Toppan Press, 1949. Hardcover. Good. Fourteen staplebound pamphlets in fold-out cloth boards. Cloth lightly worn, with faint staining. Title plate crisp and bright. Closures intact and strong. Interior has three paste downs, including a central table of contents, and the author's introduction split between the first and last, with publication information at the last. Small sticker code adhered above the start of the introduction, with small sticker ghost beside it. Pamphlets are intact with sound bindings. Staples beginning to rust at some volumes, but all staples are secure. Faint toning to top margins, and a penned number at top margin of each pamphlet which labels it according to the numbers given at table of contents. Prior owner's information blind-stamped to bottom margin at each first page. Interiors else clean, with texts unmarked.

Very Good. 7.5 x 7.5 black cloth wraparound chemise with bone stabs housing all 14 pamphlets, each of which has a short text followed by about 10 to 12 b/w photo pages. Chemise very good with light wear and some tanning and stains to inner pages, all the pamphlets very good to fine. Handsome production.

There apparently was a title bank on front cover, now missing. Cloth worn through in two places, tip of one ivory pin is broken off, text inside folder is a little soiled, pamphlet somewhat tanned but in nice condition. No marks or writing.
