The jacket is torn along the edges, with insect loss along the flap; Internally the pages are tanned, else a clean, unmarked and solid copy. 249 pages, indexed, 34 plates, black and white, some coloured and some folded. "Professor Tokuzo Sagara is dean of the College of Culture in Miyazaki University. He is one of the most emoinent authorities on western fine arts in Japan and is also well-versed in Japanese fine arts' (back flap) Tourist Library No. 9. Tipped in at the verso of the last page a colophon, mostly in Japanese, but which includes in English 'Printed in Occupied Japan'.
