A complete guide for Westerners to the origins, history and contemporary actors, playwrights and musicians in the various forms of Japanese traditional theater, including Kabuki, Noh and Bunraku. Illustrated with color frontiispiece photo and 19 black and white photographs by Isamu Noguchi. Contains the complete translations of three full Kabuki plays. A very tight, clean, unmarked volume in a dust jacket with some faint minor soil and some wrinkles at bottom rear panel but no mark from dampstain. Fine in very good dust jacket..
