Los Angeles: Robert E. Peterson/Trend Books, 1958. Leonard Feather (1914-1994), himself a jazz pianist, became athe most well-known and respected journalist and critic of the jazz scene. This is a Good only copy of the First Edition. An uncommon to scarce title. Large format paperbound illustrated with many great photographs. There is no publication date, but the list of "Downbeat" winners stops at 1958. Clean text, very bright and clear, but the cover is fragile, with chips and cello tape repairs.. First Edition. Soft Cover. Good/No Jacket. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
