The complete portfolio published in 1971 by Erker-Presse. This portfolio includes 22 poems by Jean Cassou in facsimile which he wrote while he was a prisoner of war during WWII. The poems are accompanied with 22 lithographs and etchings by Max Bill, Alexander Calder, Giuseppe Capogrossi, Marc Chagall, Otto Dix, Piero Dorazio, Max Ernst, Etienne Hajdu, Hans Hartung, Wifredo Lam, Andre Masson, Joan Miro,Ernst Wilhelm Nay, Serge Poliakoff, Giuseppe Santomaso, Pierre Soulages, Dorothea Tanning, Antoni Tapies, Mark Tobey, Maria Helena Vieira da Silva, Fritz Wotruba und Ossip Zadkine. All of the prints besides the Chagall one are signed and numbered by the artists. This edition is limited to 115 copies and is loose as issued in chemise and slipcase.
