Octovo hardcover in full dark blue Niger ( Napa cowhide) : tight and square spine/binding, pages white, bright and crisp (Simpson 70# Deckle Warm White paper) , covers unworn and AS NEW, unread. Solid and warm to the touch. "When Jack Russell writes of salmon, he writes of Atlantic Salmon" So starts the foreward by Alec Jackson. About a business executive who retires from business due to health reasons and starts his own Salmon camp, leaving Maine for New Brunswick. Opened in 1930 and the first two guests paid $12 a day. The rest is successful history, but more importantly fishing stories abound within. A large fish is spotted: It was off downstream with "a teriffic rush. As the reel screamed and the line went out we upped with the killick and started downstream after him...(after over an hour landed him) he only made two or three leaps....and he never once showe the white of the belly." ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 204pp pages .
