About This Item
New York: Raw Books and Graphics Inc, 1982. First edition thus. Softcover. near fine. Panter, Gary. Tabloid sized folio (14-1/4" x 10-1/2") irregularly paginated in (18), 6, 10pp. Red & black wraparound pictorial wrappers tipped into a heavy corrugated cardboard portfolio. The portfolio has a black cloth spine strip and a red & black illustrated paper label on the front cover. This is a compilation of strips of Panter's punk hero, Jimbo, surviving in a dystopian, post-nuclear world. The character first appeared in "Slash" between 1978 and 1980, and has been augmented for this Raw One-Shot reprint with several new, double-page illustrations and an introduction by Greil Marcus. Considering its newsprint quality paper, it is in unusually fine condition.
