A job lot of eight hardback books on The Buildings of England series by Nikolaus Pevsner: - The Best Buildings of England [anthology] - published by Viking, 1986, first edition thus, with dust jacket; - Cambridgeshire - published by Yale University Press, 2002 first Yale printing, with dust jacket; - Essex, revised by Enid Radcliffe - published by Yale University Press, 2003, first Yale printing, with dust jacket; - North-East Norfolk and Norwich - published by Penguin, 1979, fourth reprint, with dust jacket; - North-West and South Norfolk - published by Penguin, 1977, third reprint, with dust jacket; - South Lancashire - published by Penguin, 1969, first edition, no dust jacket; - London I (The Cities of London and Westminster), revised by Bridget Cherry - published by Penguin, 1973, third edition, no dust jacket; - London II (Except the Cities of London and Westminster) - published by Penguin, 1974, second reprint, no dust jacket; These books are illustrated with line drawings, maps, and photographic plates. The binding are faux leather except for the anthology volume, which is cloth. Books may contain signs of wear, tearing to dust jackets, scuffing, rubbing, marking, previous owner inscriptions, etc. However, they are generally clean, especially the two Yale-published volumes, which are in excellent condition, and none of the volumes appear to contain any loose pages, underlining, marginalia, etc. See pictures for further information.
