Half length portrait of the physicist and mathematician Johann Bernoulli (1667-1748). He was a Swiss mathematician and was one of the many prominent mathematicians in the Bernoulli family. He is known for his contributions to infinitesimal calculus and educating Leonhard Euler in the pupil's youth. (From Wikipedia). With four attached pages with information concerning Bernoulli. In rococó frame, with inscription below: 'IOANNES BERNOULLIUS / Phil.... Nat. A.S.R. MDCLXVII' Signed below the portrait frame: 'Huber pinx. / I. Iacob Haid sc. et excud Aug. Vindelic'.
