About This Item
Paramount. Softcover/Paperback. Just About Fine. Hollywood: Paramount Pictures, January 15, 1976. Vintage original film screenplay, 11 x 8 1/2" (28 x 22 cm.), die cut studio wrappers, brad bound, mimeograph, 117 pp., just about fine. First draft script by Ivan Moffat based on previous work by Ken Ross and Ernest Lehman and adapted from the novel by Thomas Harris. Classic suspense film in which a Palestinian terrorist group attempts to blow up a Goodyear blimp hovering over a Super Bowl stadium with 80,000 people and the president of the United States in presence. Blimp pilot Michael Lander (Bruce Dern), who has endured the horrors of the Vietnam War, is now psychotic. Hoping to kill himself in grand fashion, he teams with Palestinian terrorist Dahlia (Marthe Keller), who plans on using Lander to set off a bomb at the Super Bowl by crashing his aircraft into the crowded stands. With thousands of lives at stake, Israeli military agent Kabakov (Robert Shaw) teams with the FBI in an attempt to stop Lander's mass murder-suicide.
