Written by Rupert Brooke, English poet known for his idealistic war sonnets written during the First World War.Originally written in 1911-12, this was Brooke's 'dissertation' with which he won his Fellowship at King's College, Cambridge, in 1913. Study of John Webster, Jacobean dramatist known for his tragedies 'The White Devil' and 'The Duchess of Malfi,' often seen as masterpieces of the early 17th-century English stage. In the original publisher's full cloth binding, titles printed to paper spine label. Spare spine label to rear. Externally sound with light bumping to head and tail of spine and extremities, gentle damp marking to boards. Previous ownership inscription to front free endpaper dated 3.3.17. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean, Good
