Boston: Press of Wright & Potter Printing Co., 1881. First edition. Stapled paper wrappers. A very good copy, chips on the wrappers and spine, mail fold, some minor foxing, small edge tear to one leaf, otherwise very clean.. 80 pp. 8vo. Reports an explosive growth in the mail order business in the preface to the catalogue: "A single glance at this method of making purchases is enough to show the convenience, economy, and satisfaction to be derived therefrom." Scarce. OCLC locates none of this year, a few scattered copies from later years at Harvard's Baker Lib., Hagley, and UFLA, and only one earlier, 1878, at the UVA in the Albert H. Small American Trade Catalogs Collection.
