The dust wrapper is rubbed & lightly chipped with a tear to its front fold. Its spine is faded with a piece out of the head. xx & 724 pages. There is a previous owner's blind stamp on the front endpaper. The edges of the book are lightly foxed. Good. <p>First American edition.<p>A title in the Nordic Translation Series. A Danish classic, originally published in two volumes in 1932 and 1933, translated by Carl Malmberg with an introduction by P. M. Mitchell.
