Edited with an introduction by John A. Scott. Dust jacket protected in a new mylar sleeve, not price clipped. Dust jacket has very minor edge wear and the slightest of light tanning on the rear panel. Binding and interior of book are square, tight, and very clean with no marks except a previous owner's name on the front free end paper. The famous English actress's fascinating account of life among the slaves and slaveholders of a cotton-and-rice plantation in the ante-bellum South. A handsome, classic, quality book.
