Paris 1930, Editions Duchartre. Stiff wrs., very good, 296p. 16 b.w. plates, clean, glassine dj., French text. R A R E Abbe de Choisy was together with Chevalier de Chaumont sent by Louis XVI in a great embassy to Siam in 1685. Choisy's official role was to be that of religious instructor to the King of Narai of Siam. This interesting account written in the form of letters contains many details on the daily life in Siam.
