Black and white wraps feature titles and image of sun rising or setting over horizon. Pages very good; small illustration penned at endpaper. Profusely illustrated w/many photo plates. Provocative bibliography for further exploration. Later edition, no other dates. Scarce. Near very good complete example. Twenty-four chapters cover all aspects of the contemporaneous science, exploration, and theories pertaining to a hollow earth w/openings at the poles. Marshall Gardner, a hollow-earth proponent, presents his scientific hypothesis to explain the formation of hollow planets. Much on artic explorers' logs and records, scientific and anecdotal evidence. This theory also incorporates the concept of a central heat and light source, i.e. a form of sun, held in a centered space by equally applied gravitational force emanating from the midpoint of the earth's spherical crust, e.g. if crust is 800 miles thick then gravitation emanates from apprx. 400 mile depth for both exterior and interior of planet. Dedicated to the continued progress of science and the service that it can render humanity. 456 pages. Insured post.. Revised and Enlarged Edition. Soft Cover. Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
