About This Item
Macmillan & Co., London, 1884. First Edition. Hardcover. Good. Blue cloth, gilt stamped spine titles. The volumes are corner and spine bumped, and rubbed with some light fraying on the spine crowns. The spines of Vol. II & III are light to moderately soiled, and all have some canting to the spines. All, at one time, had white Osterley Park bookplates (we assume from the manor house just outside of London) affixed to the front panels, although the one on Vol. I has since been removed, leaving faint residual markings. Vol. I has lightly cracked hinges and a small abrasion on the front endpaper from a removed sticker. Vol. II has some bubbling to the cloth on the front panel. Vol. III has soiling near the fore-edge on the front panel and a faintly cracked front hinge. Overall, a good set.

About Trilby & Co. Books
Trilby & Co. Books is located in Northern California. The company was founded years ago by a Shetland Sheepdog named Trilby. Trilby's message to her family was brief and direct - the sale of books would increase disposable income and improve the quality of provisions in her food dish. My name is McTavish (picture above). I am the current CEO of this company, and I approve of her message. Oh, by the way, my speciality is literature, with an emphasis on first editions and signed books.
