About This Item
London: Brockhampton Press, 1963. First Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. This is a stated first edition of the first of Cresswell's "Jumbo" series. The interior of the book is crisp and clean, with no marks or wear. The yellow covers are fresh, with just a bit of wear at edges and corners. The dust jacet is price-clipped, and is also in very good condition, with light edgewear and rubs, but no tears or chips. The jacket is now in a protective mylar cover. Synopsis: "Jumbo Spencer has a school holiday on his hands With it he is going to something pretty big. Reform his village? He might well do. Become a leader of men? That too could be done. But the result? As successful and far-reaching as even Jumbo had dared to foresee".
