About This Item

New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1990. Book Club Edition. Hardcover. Book Condition is Very Good with a Very Good dust jacket. Small tear to crown of jacket. Jacket shows a few light creases as well as some minor rubbing. Else clean. This is an extremely scarce book club printing of this classic. Published in 1990 (the same year as the true first printing) with a blurb from the first advance comment on the rear panel. It runs to 399 pages, which of the two Trade first editions, is the more uncommon printing. Though this is not the true first printing, the scarcity of this print run make this a must for collectors. If you're looking for rare, there're far less of these available than the true first or the trade first. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall.

Synopsis

Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton is a thrilling sci-fi novel that takes readers on a heart-pounding adventure into a theme park inhabited by genetically resurrected dinosaurs. Ingeniously created by ambitious scientists, the dinosaurs soon prove more formidable and dangerous than anticipated. As chaos erupts on the island, a group of experts, including paleontologist Dr. Alan Grant and mathematician Dr. Ian Malcolm, must fight for survival against these prehistoric creatures. Crichton masterfully combines scientific concepts, ethical dilemmas, and gripping action, delivering a cautionary tale about the consequences of tampering with nature and the limits of human control. Jurassic Park remains a timeless classic that captivates readers with its blend of science, suspense, and sheer terror. Michael Crichton's epic book was adapted into a blockbuster film directed by Steven Spielberg starring Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, and Richard Attenborough.

About Evolving Lens Bookseller

We behind the scenes and running Evolving Lens Bookseller have been involved and otherwise employed in the used, rare and collectible book market for a decade, in both brick-and-mortar settings and online. Long before that, we were all readers, collectors and book enthusiasts. We know books, feel privileged to be a part of the collectible book market, and are passionate about the value of the content of the books themselves. Our inventory focuses on the fine & domestic arts, artist monographs and uncommon catalogs, university press publications, biographies, philosophy, theoretical psychology, sets, peculiar and uncommon fiction, signed books and modern first editions; however, we will always provide a range of quality content to choose from. Thank you for taking a look at our shop. Buy with confidence.
